The Heinkel He111 was the primary bomber of the German Luftwaffe during World War 2.  Originally designed as a civilian transport, it was adapted into a bomber in the 1930's. The He111 underwent a number of changes, variations and modernizations during its career with the majority being built to the He111H standard.  In total, over 7300 He111s were built during the war.
