Palenque International Airport - MMPQ (FSX)
In 2014 the airport was presented to Grupo Aeroportuario de Chiapas. The airport covers an area of approximately 201.5 hectares and a platform for commercial aviation is about 6,479 square meters. The airport has three parking gates, with four national timetables or three mixed. The terminal is for 250 pax on rush hour and the longest runway is 2.5 Km to accomodate the B737 or A320.
The airport was officially inaugurated on March 13, 2014. On that date, Interjet started bi-weekly service to Mexico City; as a result, traffic increased to 18,148 passengers in 2015.
The airport has connections with Cancun, Merida, Oaxaca, and other important cities that serves international destinations.
