Team SDB RAF Station Snaith is a semi fictional representation of the 4 Group airfield as it may have looked in 1943-44. The airfield layout and hangars are accurately reproduced, the bomb stores and technical site are fictional but typical of the RAF buildings of the period.
Lying largely in the parish of Pollington, seven miles south-west of Goole in the West Riding of Yorkshire, RAF Station Snaith was designed in March 1940 with construction commencing later that year. The northern boundary was formed by the A545 and the southern side by the Great Heck to Pollington Lane.

The scenery consists of:

  •  Seasonally changing ground textures
  •  Operational night lighting
  •  Full compliment of custom built hangars and support buildings
  •  Weapons storage area and technical site
  •  Navigation Aid: NDB (Frequency: 383.0 kHz)
  •  AI Handley Page Halifax bombers of 51 Squadron
  •  Halifax bombers perform touch-and-go landings and the main body of Halifaxes
  •  depart to Cologne at 19:00 Zulu.
