Initially introduced around September of 1928 the first model of the "Bird" Model A was introduced, powered by the ubiquitous Curtiss OX-5 . Essentially a "Sesqui-plane", 70% of its lifting area is in the thick centered upper wing. Formally introduced at the 1929 National Air Races held at Cleveland Ohio, the Bird generated a good deal of interest with its character and exceptional performance demonstrating short take off and slow speed characteristics unlike its contemporaries. The "Bird" series included the models A, BK, CK and lesser known models AT, CC, CJ, RK, E and F. The most numerous manufactured, and most widely flown, were the models A, BK, and CK. Developed with accuracy in appearance and performance in mind, the Golden Age Simulations Brunner Winkle Bird is presented in land plane, and, in the case of the Model CK, float plane configurations. The simulator pilot has the options of flying the aircraft fully laden, with passengers, or solo. The aircraft is fully animated with tool tips active, in the VC cockpit, for all animated parts. It is fully compatible with all versions of FSX and P3D.
