Announcing the Zenith CH-701 for Prepar3D V4 from Lionheart Creations. This is the fun and adventurous ‘Sky Jeep!’ A project 2 years in the making, through direct cooperation with Zenith Aircraft Corporation. The 701 was modeled from CAD data provided by Zenith and developed using the latest PBR shaders for P3D V4.4 and above. This sim aircraft is modeled within 1MM of its real world counterpart and looks stunning on full 4K textures with lower resolution textures available that ship with the package for those with lower range computer resources.
The Zenith 701, designed and first introduced in 1986 by Chris Heintz, is a ‘STOL’(Short Take-Off and Landing) aircraft, powered by the now legendary Rotax 912 100HP Edition air-cooled & coolant cooled aero engine, (A division of Bombardier). The 701 has amazing low speed handling capabilities thanks to its full length, lowered flap/aileron combination as well as leading edge slats, enabling it to hold its wings at a high angle without stalling out. With its large tires and low stall speed, it truly earns its title as the ‘Sky Jeep.’ In the simulator, this product is perfect for the more adventurous ‘Bush pilots’ that like to take things ‘low and slow’.
The Zenith CH-701 package comes with 5 high resolution liveries, an optimized 3d model based on manufacturer CAD data models, and a flight model tuned to nearly the same as the real life aircraft via testing with real world Zenith pilots and owners giving their input and direction during development and testing of this plane.
If you like to fly ‘very low’ and you like to land ‘very slow’, if you want something forthe back woods, the sides and tops of mountains, the narrow box canyon valley’s, then this just might be the plane you need.
